Open Birdcage
Open Birdcage is currently not accepting new therapy clients. My focus has shifted toward creative education, writing, workshops and community projects. Existing clients continue to receive ongoing support as arranged.
Psychology for Creative Living
'We are all living in cages with the door wide open.' George Lucas

Here, freedom and creativity are the compass.
I'm Eva — psychologist, artist, musician and educator.
I created Open Birdcage as a space for people who want more than symptom management.
A space to explore confidence, creativity, identity, purpose, relationships and emotional wellbeing.
Drawing on almost 20 years of psychological practice, alongside my work as an artist, musician & performer, I help people navigate life's challenges while reconnecting with the parts of themselves that may have been hidden or put aside.
I believe healing isn't just about feeling less anxious.
It's also about feeling more alive.
.

What Makes This Space Different?

Where psychology meets creativity: I integrate evidence-based psychology with creative approaches that support reflection, insight and self-expression.
.
Together we might explore:

Is This for You?
Open Birdcage is for you if you:
Struggle with self-doubt, perfectionism or imposter syndrome
Feel disconnected from your creativity or sense of purpose
Are navigating a significant life transition
Feel stuck between who you've been and who you're becoming
You don't need to be an artist. You simply need a willingness to explore who you are beneath the expectations, roles and stories you've inherited.
